Round 2 of the 2025 UCI Downhill World Cup in Loudenvielle, France. FOX Factory athletes delivered a dominant performance with Gracey Hemstreet earning her first-ever Elite Women’s World Cup win, the first ever Canadian female to do so. She celebrated shoulder to shoulder with her fellow countryman Jackson Goldstone, who marked his triumphant return to the top of the Elite Men’s podium—his first win since 2023.
After qualifying third, Gracey’s finals run was off to a shaky start with her first split a full three seconds behind the pace of leader Vali Höll. But with focus and composure, Gracey laid down an absolute heater of a run on the lower sections of the course to take the win by more than three seconds. The 20-year-old Canadian has been building momentum with previous podiums, but Loudenvielle marks her biggest career milestone to date. The win now seats her third in the overall World Cup series standings, behind fellow FOX athlete Tahnée Seagrave, who is currently leading the series after another solid weekend netting third place.
On the men’s side, Jackson proved he’s back to his best. Qualifying 12th, he had a conservative start on the top section, wisely saving his strength and power for the winding corners in the final third of the course. He crossed the line fastest, beating the fastest qualifier Amaury Pierron by over 1.5 seconds. The young Canadian has returned to form and now climbs to third overall in the Elite Men’s standings as the series heads to Leogang, Austria.
In the Junior Women, FOX athlete Lina Frener took the top step of the podium after holding the race lead over all but the first track sector. The win puts Lina into first overall headed into round three.
The Junior Men's race provided plenty of excitement. Just missing out of the top step of the podium, Yeti/FOX Factory junior rider Tyler Waite was tracking for his own win, but some mistakes lost him time near the bottom, earning him second on the day. Rounding out the top five, Asa Vermette had an unlucky crash after being up by a significant margin in the first sectors. He managed to bring it all back and pulled himself into 5th place - an impressive performance and scoring much needed series points.
The setup of choice for all Fox athletes at Loudenville included our FOX Factory 40 fork with GRIP X2 and the DHX2 rear shock, providing unparalleled support and precision on this world class track.
